Reception to celebrate Algeria's national day
We had the honour of attending a reception organised by the Embassy of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria to celebrate its National Day. The event, which took place on Thursday, 7 November 2024, at the prestigious Grand Plaza Hotel in Ljubljana, was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the 1 November Revolution - a key moment in Algeria's history, symbolising the beginning of the struggle for independence.

Hosted by Her Excellency Ambassador Sabrina Kaci-Bey, the reception brought together a number of distinguished guests, including diplomatic representatives, business partners and representatives of various organisations. Highlights of the evening included a keynote address by the Ambassador, who underlined the importance of the Algerian Revolution for the nation's identity, and a cultural programme.
