British Embassy - King's Birthday Garden Party

The King’s Birthday, celebrated by British embassies and high commissions around the world, is the most important event in their calendar. Although the King’s actual birthday falls on November 14, the official birthday in 2024 was marked on Saturday, June 15, with the Trooping the Colour ceremony in London.

On this occasion, Ambassador Tiffany Sadler emphasized the importance of the celebration for strengthening the friendship between the United Kingdom and Slovenia, as well as the rich bilateral relations in various fields such as foreign policy, defense, security, trade, science, education, and culture. With sadness, she added that this was her last King’s Birthday Party in Slovenia, as her four-year term is coming to an end.

To mark the occasion, a special drink named Kredarica Fizz, after our residence Vila Kredarica, was introduced. We enjoyed excellent company, music, and cuisine at the event and look forward to future collaborations with the British Embassy and other partners.
