A few days ago, the artist Ross Bleckner announced an extraordinary news on his Instagram profile: his work Untitled, 2022 was added to the collection of the Thyssen Bornemisza National Museum in Madrid, which houses one of the most important art collections in Europe.

The museum collection currently includes almost 1,000 works, created from the 13th century onwards. Among the authors of preserved works are the biggest names in art history, such as Duccio, Anthony Van Eyck, Albrecht Dürer, Caravaggio, Rembrandt van Rijn, Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, Berthe Morisot, Vincent van Gogh, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Piet Mondrian, Georgia O'Keeffe and Edward Hopper - and recently also Ross Bleckner, whose works are also housed in the Stoja art gallery.

The work will be on view at the Thyssen Bornemisza Museum from the beginning of April.

In the Stoja gallery you can find as many as six Bleckner's paintings, among which you can also find the large canvas Prince/Frog, 2023, which is the same size as the new acquisition of the Museum in Madrid!
