Ross Bleckner's new large painting in Slovenia

Recently, a new canvas by the influential contemporary German artist Ross Bleckner arrived at the Stoja gallery. The 183 x 244 cm (72 x 96.1 inches) canvas can be compared to gallery pieces housed in New York's Guggenheim. The work, which at first glance represents a garden with tulips, is titled Prince/Frog, as the artist drew on the well-known fairy tale The Frog Prince for the work.
Ross Bleckner, born in 1949 in New York, began exhibiting with the Mary Boone Gallery in 1979 and was the subject of a retrospective at the Guggenheim Museum in New York in 1995. His works can be found in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the National Gallery of Art in Washington . D.C., the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh, and the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, among others.
